Masayoshi Son, the CEO of SoftBank Group (9984.T), claimed on Tuesday that he utilises Microsoft-backed firm OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot, “heavily.”

Son said that he spoke with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman “almost every day,” who has made high-profile trips to Tokyo this year in an effort to capitalise on interest in generative AI and influence how the developing technology is regulated globally.

Son admitted to being a heavy user of ChatGPT, saying, “I am conversing with ChatGPT every day.
