Sindh’s Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has spoken out strongly against the ‘forced’ closure of private schools in the state. In an effort to address the problem, the education department has issued a circular.

According to the minister, private schools can’t afford any downtime in their operations. He stressed that the Department of Education would cancel the accreditation of any private school that remained closed without valid grounds.

Further, Shah said that both public and private schools in the province must adhere to regulations set out by the government. The government of Sindh, Pakistan, made a similar announcement, saying that the matriculation exams will go on as planned despite the ongoing unrest throughout the country.

This meant that the secondary school final exams were finished on time. The secretary and controller of tests for the Board of Secondary Education also travelled to several testing locations to keep an eye on things.
