As thousands protest the G7 following Musk’s milestone, Tesla is set on fire.

Tesla Set on Fire: During altercations, a parked Tesla was set on fire as demonstrators threw trash at the police, signifying their rage at corporate power and wealth concentration.
Mass Demonstration: At first, some 20,000 people marched peacefully, then smaller groups vandalized banks and facilities associated with the UN.
Security Measures: To prevent any disturbances, authorities strengthened border control and deployed more than 13,000 officers in advance of the G7 conference in France.

As thousands of protestors gathered in front of the Group of Seven (G7) meeting on Sunday, a Tesla was set on fire in downtown Geneva. Following what started off as a mostly peaceful march, altercations broke out between protesters and police.

Scenes became violent in the late afternoon as demonstrators threw bricks and other trash at riot police, causing thick black smoke to rise above the city. Tensions in a city preparing for a meeting of world leaders just across the French border were heightened by the smashing of windows at companies and buildings connected to international organizations like the United Nations (U.N.).
