Zeku, an Oppo chip subsidiary with offices in Shanghai, will be shutting down, the company has stated, citing uncertainty in the global economy and the smartphone market.

The MariSilicon line of chips, which includes the MariSilicon X ISP and MariSilicon Y audio processor, were significantly designed by Zeku. The Find X series, Reno phones, the Find N2 Flip, and other high-end Oppo phones mostly utilised these two.

Oppo entered the chip manufacturing industry in 2019 and was successful in producing a variety of internal co-processors, ISPs, modems, power management chips, and audio chips. According to rumours, Oppo committed a substantial sum of money—more than $1.4 billion—to its project to create chips.
