Reuters: SEOUL – According to a statement released by Samsung on Sunday, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Jay Y. Lee, Executive Chairman of Samsung Electronics, met last Wednesday to examine methods to work together in emerging high-tech sectors.

According to Samsung, the two businesses are now looking for ways to work together to create IT-related technologies like the semiconductors used in driverless vehicles.

The encounter, which took place when Lee was visiting the US, was the first between the leaders of the US electric-vehicle manufacturer and the South Korean semiconductor giant.
