The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is working hard to remove unlawful internet service providers.

In this respect, the PTA successfully conducted searches in Daharki, District Ghotki, and Johar Town, Lahore, in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The operation targeted an illegal internet service provider on Zafar Bazar Road in Daharki, and the illegal ISP’s equipment was taken. While in Lahore, a working internet infrastructure was discovered that was being run without a legal licence. Two people were arrested, and necessary equipment (switches/routers, etc.) was confiscated. The office has been shut, and the FIA is conducting additional investigations in accordance with the law.
