Zhang Guangjun, vice minister of science and technology in China, urged Arm, a British semiconductor technology company owned by Softbank, to expand its collaboration with Chinese research centres, universities, and businesses, his ministry stated on Thursday.

In a meeting with Arm CEO Rene Haas on Tuesday in Beijing, Zhang stated that there is a significant opportunity for Arm to grow in the Chinese market and that the ministry would continue to assist and offer services to high tech companies doing business in the nation.
