A few years ago, Netflix entered the gaming market for the first time by offering a continuously growing selection of mobile games. But it soon became clear that this action was just a prelude to a far grander scheme.

After that, Netflix bought Night School Studio (best known for Oxenfree), Next Games, and Boss Fight Entertainment, demonstrating its dedication to the gaming industry. The business also opened two studios, one in Southern California and the other in Helsinki.

The Netflix vice president of gaming, Mike Verdu, confirmed the business is seriously considering creating its own cloud gaming platform at the same time as the California-based studio’s debut.
