Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has recaptured the title of world’s wealthiest person.
Tesla’s CEO, the world’s most valuable carmaker, eclipsed luxury mogul Bernard Arnault earlier this week after shares of the latter’s LVMH fell 2.6% in Paris trade.
This year, Musk and the 74-year-old Frenchman have been neck and neck for the top spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a list of the world’s 500 wealthiest individuals.
Arnault became the world’s richest person after surpassing Musk in December of last year, when the tech industry suffered and luxury remained stable in the face of inflation.
