Linda Yaccarino, a former executive at NBCUniversal, has assumed leadership as Twitter’s new CEO, according to an update to her LinkedIn bio.

Ms. Yaccarino, who formerly served as head of advertising at NBCUniversal, has stated that she is eager to contribute to the social media platform’s transformation because she is inspired by Elon Musk, the company’s owner, and his desire to build a better future.

As the firm works to reverse a decline in ad income, Mr. Musk chose former NBCUniversal advertising director Linda Yaccarino as Twitter’s new CEO in May.
