Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, said on Friday that it was exiting the Dutch market due to its inability to register with the authority as a supplier of virtual asset services.

According to the business, existing Dutch customers will only be allowed to withdraw funds from the Binance platform as of July 17. There will be no further exchanges, transactions, or deposits accepted.

On Wednesday, the Cyprus branch of Binance requested removal from Cyprus’ list of companies that provide services for digital assets.

A request for comment from Reuters was not immediately answered by the Dutch authority.
