A spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday that a technology research and development team at China’s Ant Group is creating its own large-language model (LLM), internally known as Zhenyi.

However, there was no more information available on the model’s public debut.

Chinese organisations have increased their efforts to create artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms during the past three years by launching 79 large-language models (LLMs) domestically, according to a report released last month by state-run research institutes.
