At 4:48 p.m. EDT on June 22, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin ended their six-hour, twenty-four-minute spacewalk.
The retrieval of several experiment packages from the Zvezda and Poisk modules and the installation of communication hardware outside the International Space Station were Prokopyev and Petelin’s main goals, which they successfully accomplished.
This was Petelin’s fifth spacewalk and Prokopyev’s seventh overall. It was the 266th spacewalk for space station construction, upkeep, and improvements, and the ninth spacewalk at the station in 2023.
