Due to performance-related issues, Bluesky, a decentralised social networking site akin to Twitter, has temporarily stopped accepting new users.

This choice was made as a result of Twitter’s installation of daily tweet viewing limits, which has led to increased usage and associated problems on Bluesky. Bluesky’s speed has been hampered by the inflow of new users, even though registration still needs an invite code.

In a recent statement, Bluesky expressed their eagerness to onboard additional people to the beta version in the near future and promised to keep consumers updated about when invite codes will be renewed.
