(Reuters) Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase (COIN.O), will speak on the future of digital asset legislation during a private meeting with a group of Democrats from the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday morning.
The conference takes place as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission files litigation against Coinbase and Binance, two of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, for allegedly failing to register their operations with the agency.
According to a New Democrat Coalition representative who sent a statement via email, Armstrong will discuss a range of relevant topics at the conference, including taxes, national security, privacy, and the environment.
A request for feedback made after work hours did not immediately receive a response from Coinbase.
