This week, a Taiwanese official will make a rare trip to Britain

Reuters: Taiwan As part of a rare high-level ministerial travel to Britain this week, Taiwan’s Minister of Digital Audrey Tang will meet with a business that specialises in low-earth orbit satellites and visit government agencies, her ministry announced on Sunday.

Despite the lack of official relations, Taiwan sees Britain as a crucial democratic ally, highlighting its worry about increased military activity by China near the island, which Beijing sees as its own territory, and its support for Taiwan’s membership in international organisations like the WHO.
