A young girl has lost all of her family’s Rs. 18 million in life savings playing internet games. She gained access to the debit card information and utilised the money exclusively for in-game purchases, fully emptying her mother’s bank account.

The girl removed transaction history and chat histories from her phone in an effort to conceal her activity. However, it soon became clear that there weren’t enough finances, and her mother ultimately learned the truth.

The 13-year-old Chinese girl used the family’s savings account to spend almost Rs18 million without her parents’ knowledge. When her boarding school instructor called her mother in late May to voice worries about her potential gaming addiction, she informed her about the event.
