After spending 32 days staring into space, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey (JADES) has provided scientists with a striking new look into some previously unseen cosmic areas. This is a unique insight into the ancient galaxies from deep space.

At an American Astronomical Society press conference, team members Kevin Hainline and Ryan Endsley revealed the finding of hundreds of early galaxies while the JADES project gathered data.

When the universe was just 600 million years old, the scientists discovered more than 700 galaxies at redshifts.
