Using five of its patents for displays used in mobile devices, including Apple’s (AAPL.O) iPhone 12, Samsung Display of South Korea has filed a lawsuit against BOE Technology of China (000725.SZ).

A federal jury in Texas was asked by Samsung Display, a division of Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), to award damages for the violation of patents on organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays provided by BOE. Samsung also asks the court for an injunction to prevent the import and sale of the impacted displays.

The U.S. court in East Texas, which has a reputation for holding hearings and rendering rulings on matters more quickly, received the case on Wednesday.
