Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President of the University of Management and Technology (UMT), has been named Chairman of ILM Trust and the UMT Board of Governors, ILM Trust.
Murad’s selection makes him the university’s youngest chairman. Murad’s work as UMT president has remained focused on young empowerment and enablement, as seen by the steadily rising number of ILM fund scholarships.
Under his guidance, the ILM Fund has granted scholarships of PKR 13 billion to 37,000 students across Pakistan.
Following his appointment, Murad reaffirmed UMT’s commitment to developing a research-driven higher education system in Pakistan. Highlighting the university’s exceptional achievements to empowering the younger generation, he stated that UMT was actively tackling national concerns and fostering constructive societal change by preparing young people to meet future difficulties.
Murad stated that UMT was generating future leaders and entrepreneurs for Pakistan’s brighter future, and that he was convinced UMT will soon become one of the world’s top institutions. He expressed his desire to take the ILM Trust and UMT to new heights.
